Our website and cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to work properly and to understand how people use it. We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to see things like pages visited, time on site and general location. This information is not used to identify you.

Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It helps us measure how well our ads work and show our ads to people who have visited our website. The Pixel uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, the actions you take (for example, starting a booking), your browser and device type, and your IP address. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it under its own Privacy Policy. This information is processed by Meta, including overseas in the United States.

We do not send your health information, appointment details or anything you enter in our forms to Meta.

You can control how Meta uses this information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.

Online bookings are handled by Nookal and our map uses Google Maps. These services have their own privacy policies.

How we store and protect it

Your records are held electronically in our practice management system Nookal, which stores data securely in Australia. Access is limited to our team and protected by passwords and other security controls.

We keep health records for at least 7 years after your last appointment. For patients under 18, we keep them until they turn 25. After that we destroy or de-identify them securely.

Some of the service providers we use, such as website analytics tools, may store information overseas, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of your records, or ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date. Contact us in writing and we will respond within 30 days. We may charge a reasonable fee to cover copying costs, as allowed by law. If we can’t give access, we’ll explain why.

You can enquire without giving your name. To treat you or process claims, we will need to identify you.
