Not every appointment needs to happen in the clinic. For your convenience, Peak Motion offers telehealth consultations for patients across the Mornington Peninsula and beyond, giving you access to the same clinical expertise as an in-person appointment, wherever you are.
Your 30-minute telehealth appointment is conducted via video call and includes a full assessment of your presenting condition, a clear explanation of what’s going on and a tailored home exercise or rehabilitation program.
While hands-on treatment isn’t possible remotely, a thorough visual assessment observing how you move, how you load and where you’re compensating provides more clinical information than most people expect. For many conditions, particularly those involving movement patterns, postural issues and exercise-based rehabilitation, telehealth is a highly effective option.
Telehealth works well for a range of presentations including:
A device with a camera and microphone, a smartphone, tablet or laptop. A space where you can move freely if needed. We’ll send you a link prior to the appointment.
Most private health funds cover telehealth physiotherapy under extras. Check with your fund prior to booking or call us and we’ll help you work it out.
If your GP has referred you under a Chronic Disease Management plan, Medicare rebates may apply. Speak with your GP about eligibility.
For many presentations particularly exercise-based rehabilitation, program reviews and movement assessments – yes. For conditions requiring hands-on manual therapy, we’ll always recommend an in-person appointment where possible.
